Original Knobs vs Repros Question
1/10/2009 3:49:37 PMJohnny
Hi all, I would love to get the original 4 knobs for this Zenith 6-S-223 but Parts2Many is asking $100 for them and that's a little spendy. Larry Bordonaro of Old Time Replications can supply a set of 4 repros in wood simulated (I imagine plastic) for $38 which includes shipping. Much more reasonable price but I'm a stickler for originality. Has anyone had experience with these repros? Are they fairly nice looking?
I ask because I got a set from another company for a Philco and they were pretty much junk. Wouldn't fit the shaft they were designed for etc. Thanks for any input you may have on this.

The only source for original knobs that I know of is Dave Frush at www. parts2many@aol.com.

You already tried that.

Repros can be found occasionally on eBay.

Check this link for another source:

Good luck.

:Great Northern does a good reproduction-Best when replaced by a complete set.
