Zenith Radio

Someone just gave me a Zenith 34p console radio which appears to be in original (very dirty) condition. I won't plug it in but want to know about the feasibility of having it restored. If the dried-out components are replaced and the tubes work what will this AM-only radio sound like? The cabinet is very attactive and I think it would be nice to have it working.

Hi Roger

The Zenith 34P is one of their first AC radios made in 1928. It's TRF and more of a collector item than great sounding radio. It would be a nice conversation piece but not great sounding.
