Apex - Radiotrophe Neutrodyne Electric Receiver
12/29/2008 10:14:00 PMGerry
I inherited an upright wood cased radio from a friend. The wiring looks very shaky, so I have not turned it on. The tuner says Radiotrophe Neutrodyne Electric Receiver. The front that displays thru the sliding doors says APEX. It as about four feet tall by 24 inches wide by 16 inches deep, with two pocket doors in the front. It was manufactured by United States Radio and Television Corp, licensed under RCA Hazeltine. I could not find the model number on the name plate, but the serial number reads C11861. I could not identify it on your web site. I was hoping to get the electrical diagram to help identify if it can be made operational. On the upper shelf with the tuner it has eight radio tubes and one on the lower shelf. Can any one help me identify the model? Thanks. Gerry

Without a model number I have no clue. However there is an APEX listing here. Download a few of them, and see if the tube type and layout are close. With a little random luck and trial and error, I'll bet you find it.
