Hi all..When I starting collecting radios about 15 years ago I came across a 1927-28 Airline radio (model A-C eight type C Presidential style) It is in a stand up phonograph type of case and has huge lift up top... The Electronics still work...but after a few mnts a transformer begins to get very warm (short somewhere) Anyway ..I can not find a schematic for it or technical data. It has a power supply that everything in it is not sealed in tar..So..I want to replace caps and bring up to spec... All the wires that go to cap block ..well I don't know what the values are...ANY HELP?? Or steer me in the righ direction? THANKS!!!

12/29/2008 8:25:16 PMG. Berg Carl......
The Allied 8/9 AC schematic is some-what close mine my Airline has 10 wires our of power pack and no dynamic speaker... My Airline AC-8 uses a small headphone driver with that typical large Airline brown composition bell...(for 1928 what a cheap speaker!!)

:Ok thanks carl will try that
