this is a wooden wards airline tombstone radio with 7 tubes(#'s 80, 42, 6B7,6D6, 6D6, 6D6, 76) has 4 transformers, 120v ac. Has 4 control knobs on front,( on\off volume, tuning, AM\Shortwave selector, tone controls). The round station display on the front has separate needles volume and tone control saying "off, soft, loud" for volume and "bass, med., treble" for tone controls. There is also a part # on the back of the speaker"2090" Any clues to help me identify this radio would be great. Any ideas about a schematic that may work would be of help as well. Thanks.

Hi Joel

Check out these models: 123, 131 and 142. They all use that set of tubes.. Schematics should be available under Montgomery Ward, Rider by Original Index.

Thanks Norm, these schematics match! You wouldn't happen to know the copy right date of those schematics would you?, might give me a clue as to the age of the radio.

Thanks,
Joel wilson

By tube types your radio would have been built in mid 1930's.
