I am in the process of restoring one of these speakers and have several questions:
***When replacing the grille cloth, do you glue it to the drum first and then press the screen domes into place stretching the cloth to shape? If not, what is the proceedure for replacing the cloth to get a nice tight smooth fit?
***What type of glue do you recomend for attaching the felt gaskets to the inside of the rings? I will have to make new ones as the old felt turned to powder.
Fortunatly the speaker cone itself is in good/excellent condition as is the leather surround. Anyone have a schematic for the speaker? Thanks for the responses. Bob

Hi Bob.. I sell grille cloth for radios and speakers and the glue I always suggest is contact cement for your felt. Just allow each piece to dry tacky..then apply . Contact cement works great for edges of grille cloth to stop them from fraying... As for
you RCA 100 speaker...good luck ..I have done one and will not do again...because of the problem you are have were the same I encountered...Anyway..if need cloth ..let me know

Thank you for the reply. None of these projects are ever easy but I enjoy the challenge as long as I have some information to get me started. I will keep you in mind for the cloth.
