Hey; I trying to find out if the set had a magnet for beam alignment. part # 27-66-2 under M-8 . the photofact says the magnet was used in some model's, but does not say which one's. I have the set all back together and have sound but no picture, I had to have the crt rebuilt, the socket at the end of the tube was removed , so I don't know if parts are missing or not. this is from Sams set 397/folder 3. thanks chip

Well I found the problem with my source voltages. Located on the vertical sweep board, pin 6 the 225v connection on the CRT was touching the - negative side cap C-5 of the 230v source. Having corrected this NOW all my voltages seem to be in line. I do now have ARC at the top of 1B3, but not enough voltage to lite the tube or get a reading off my probe. This voltage is only accomplished after I touch C-41 a .01 cap that is between B-1 the horiz wave form and L-14 the Horiz hold adjustmentSams set 397/folder 3. thanks chip
