Hi all...
Every time I have restored/tuned a radio (1930s-40s) the push buttons always have a lower volume than regular tuning.....Should it be this way? I adjust trimmers and still never have had same volume when using push buttons than regular tuning.....hmmmmm
Any sugestions

Hi

Each push button will have two adjustments. One to select a station, the other to peak up signal strength. Volume should end up being same as using the regular tuner. In some cases might even be louder as you can make more exact adjustment. A tuner won't be perfect across the entire dial.

GB,

In addition to Norm's comment, sometimes there are two points on an adjustable coil that will tune in a station. One will always be lower than the other. I just experienced this on another radio.
