Hi all...I have a zenith model 10S464 that has a slight problem that I am confused bout... On the "Wavemagnet" antenna is a switch for local and distant reception...When I flip switch to local it gets loud (as it should) then fades /cuts out almost completely a few seconds later..I thought it was a problem with switch but it checks out good....Any suggestions? Bad tube, resistor??

Check resistors R1 and R2 for proper values and check for shorts. The local/distant switch merely adds in a parallel resistor when closed. Have you replaced caps C2 and C3?
