How to drive a valve using a MOSFET need help
9/28/2008 9:38:53 AMelectricme
Hello all,
I have a very unusual request, I have made a PWM circuit, that drives a BUZ350 or IRF540 MOSFET device. Unfortunatly, I have managed to destroy it by putting to much load on it.
I have replaced the transistor (with my last one), now I was thinking, would a valve be more forgiving with high loadings?

Sooo could someone come up with a valve circuit that could be driven by the MOSFET, but the valve carries the load?

Thanks

Dunno what you are using it for, but a valve sure isn't a solution. Unless you select a high power valve, stick to the MosFET. Can you post a schematic? MosFETs are easy to work with but there are a few rules you must follow. Gate protection, heatsinking etc.
