Hi Joe

You need a 2.5 volt filament winding in that transformer. I would check Play Things of Past. They sell used transformers removed from radios. AES sells new ones but they want $79.00.

Hi Joe, It sounds like the transformer's dead but make sure it's not overloaded, probably bt shorted B+ line (electrolytics?). Try removing the rectifier snd see if it stops frying. Make sure it's all clear before trying the new one so you don't toast that too. Good Luck, Don Black.
