Just picked up this old radio but really need a schematic to replace the E caps. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I can't find one anywhere!

No help for a schematic...maybe a little education. The radio has 3 150V E caps. One 40mf and two @20mf with the base as negative. One E cap Pos goes to p8 of 35Z5,one goes to P4 of 35L6, and the other appears to go to the transformer. I can probably just replace all 3 E caps with 40mf and do no harm....however I have a lot more 20s than I do 40s and it would be nice to understand the relevance of the differences and why which should go to where.

::I believe Freshman was a Belmont product so Mike you might want to check out the Belmont 6D111 (A&B) or 6D18 for comparison as they might have the same chassis as yours. (AC/DC models). Do a little search around Belmont if they're not the same as yours.

Check it out
