I have an RCA radio phonograph combo in a wooden cabinate, Model A-78 it belonged to my Grandmother. Does any one out there in CyberSpace know what year it is? It has 2 top doors that open , on the left is a 45 player. On the right is a radio. the bottom left grill front slides out to reveal a 33/78 record player.
Thank you
Tom

I too have a RCA Model A-78 which I just placed in my garage for restoration this spring. Everything is there, but all of the wiring is cracked and aged. The cabinet is beautiful.

I think it is a 1950 unit. My identification stickers all end in 50 thereby making me believe it is produced in 1950. I have another unit that I hollowed out several years' ago and placed my new receiver and cd in it and installed several Bose speakers in the base. It is beautiful. This Model A-78 unit is very unique because of the slide out changers and having 2 changers in it. I am going to try and restore it if I can. OTherwise I will salvage the cabinet for my MP3 jukebox player and stereo. I will use it then for recording all of my record collection to cd's.
