I recapped and got rid of hum. am works, fm has nothing.tested all resistors, took 6h6 tube apart and one wire was broken, repaired it and reassembled. all tubes glow and are warm to hot.that is about all my knowledge of these old babies. wondering if anyone has suggestions for possible reasons of no fm. once again my experience is nil, but i try real hard and enjoy the challenge!

What is the model number? Or else, can you link us to the schematic?

: Make sure there is an antenna connected to the FM terminals which are separate fron the AM antenna terminals. A TV 'rabbit ears' antenna makes a good FM antenna.

It is a canadian Sparton model 9149, or also model 10549. 9 tube ac phono-radio-f.m. combination set.
I will try to send schematic.

I desoldered pin ends and carefully took apart. one wire was we'll say not broken but either melted or heated apart.
