I have to replace an e-cap of 25mfd, but only have a 22mfd and a 30 mfd. according to 20% rule I guess I could use either one. Which would be better, if any?
Thank you
Vinny

Hi Vinny,
Usually it is better to go a little high, rather than a little low. These are meant to supress hum. The higher value will supress the hum a little furhter. However, you don't want to go too high, that causes stress on the rectifyer at turn on.

Best Regards,

Bill, greetings, thank you so much for your time and expertise, it's really someting how you and others are helping people, I know it's out of love of the hobby/collecting/restoring/repairing, and kindness to others in a world filled with hatred.
Vinny
