Hi,

Does anyone have a schematic or link for The Zenith Z-733 am/FM clock radio?. There is an alternate number 5-40757 printed on the bacK. circa 1956, 7 tube set. Any help would be great.

Thanks, Robert

Hi Carl,
I work on this type of radio quite often. It is like the Y723, except it has a clock. They are highly susceptable to Silve Mica.
If you have a question, don't be shy about asking.

Best Regards,

Bill Grimm

Hi Bill,

Thanks for the tip on the silver mica cap. diesease.
The radio in I'm working on is still in the recap, dead tube stage.
I will keep an ear open for the pop and thunder of silver micatosis.
I have always heard that mica caps are long lasting and don't need replacing in a typical re-cap. I'm new to antique radio restoration.
As such, I'm learning something new everyday. I appreciate the advice you have shared with me.

Cheers, Robert
