In reference to the golf cart charger with nothing coming out of the transformer, that you did a nice job in re-drawing my rotten attempt of drawing a transformer.
If you remember it was a fero-resonence transformer with nothing at the secondary, with it completely removed from the circuit.
I finally got back to it, the primary draws about what it should at full output, about 6-7 amps at 120 on it, no change with capacitor in or out of the circuit, and only about 2 volts on the secondary or thirarity (3rd winding, i know the spelling is wrong), it looks like there is a short somewhere and it is going into saturation and shutting down. All leads were open during the test.
So again thanks for your input.

With this being separate from the original post, I guess that you are still hoping for there still being a slim possibility of the
POWER
transformateur not being KA-PUT-skies.
However, if you now have all of the secondary leads floating / disconnected, and are still reading that fierce of a primary draw, it certainly seems so.
That should definitely be true, with / since the tertiary windings resonating capacitor is also out of circuit.

No Edd, I have no hope of saving it, it went to the dump a few days ago. I just wanted to follow up and thank you for your input, especially re-drawing my sorry attempt of explaining the connectins to the transformer on the original post.
