I'll bet that RCA schematic will match Del's GE set to a tee.

Some models were common between RCA and GE. A dead give-away is that wiring diagram style which always causes my eyes to cross.

Here is how Slusser's 6th edition describes the GE K-43: 4 knobs, BC, SW, AC. The RCA schemtic referenced by Edd and Slusser's entry for the RCA 100 match that description. Both sets were wood cathedrals. And both are valued by Slusser $180-200. Q.E.D.

I did a general search on Google and found that the GE K 43 is indeed comparable to the RCA 100 and 101. Installed the capacitors and cleaned it all up with brush and vacuum. The variable condenser was really dusty and after cleaning them I am able to get 5 stations well. This radio uses the volume to increase the voltage as when I turn it way up I get distortion. I need to tune the volume down to get a clear audio. Thanks for the help. The radio has 3 of 4 black pointer knobs. They are not correct I have found as there is an ARC article on general search for K 43 which describes the knobs have a floral front. Best wishes to all.

Well ....fustest off.....if that photo is in a format such that it is solely on your computer...typically, by virtue of its high bit density nature...requiring it to have been placed on your hard drive for storage. You will then need to seek out a host to place your pictures info on storage , such that it will then have 24/7 immediate retrieval access, and additionally be assigned an URL identifier so that picture can be called up from off the WEB.

Then you pre test the veracity of that pics assigned URL identifier by pasting its info onto your 'puter address line and sending it out to confirm if your picture is then retrieved and then magically shows up on your screen.
If all is well from that aspect, you then need to place it in the proper insertion format …just a few keystrokes….for its header and then its trailer and then post to this site with your usual textual information on a posting.

Some time back, I posted one thousand and ‘lebenteen aspects of just how to do that, but seems that info has now transpired from access, with that photo hosting source having dropped that info with time , however, I see that the host that Dennis W. used is still active, so in the interim, refer to his post, or, I will re do my info in its entirety if you have problems.

Edd: Can I send you a photo by email in jpg form and you repost? Thanks. Deltysdal@aol.com

Del, while you and Edd try to work this out, let me give you the first step.

You first need to upload your image to one of the many freebie image hosting sites. The one I started using is www.ImageShack.us - and I'm still using it. Since it's the only one I've used, I can say that it is my favorite.

But there is no way to post a photo directly on the NostalgiaAir site - you have to put it up somewhere else, e.g. ImageShack, and LINK it here. The photo isn't really "on" NostalgiaAir, but it is called up into your posting from ImageShack.

Actually, this isn't a bad thing - many forum sites that have photo library areas are awkward to use and it's often easier, even on those sites, for me to use ImageShack as the host.

The simplest way is to upload the image to ImageShack, and then just cut and paste the photo's URL to your post here on Nostalgiaair. Then, if somebody wants to see your pix, they can cut and paste the URL to their browser's address line, and the image will pop up.

I thought I replied to your post early today. RCA 100 and Westinghouse WR-32 have the same chassis.

I can tell this posting is really authored by Edd, not "del." Who else would have put the photo in a frame?
