I have an old tube radio that a friend gave me more than 30 years ago. The front of the wooden case says Port-O-Matic. I found a tag on the inside that says it's model VW-8. I have not been able to get any information on this set. I compared my set with Port- O-Matic P-8 schematic that's on this site, but there are differences. It was repaired in 1949 and bears the repairmen's initials so I gather it's at least that old. Any information would be appreciated.

Most of the Port-O-Matic radios were produced around 1938 using either the P8 or P8LW chassis
