What type of Veneer is the best for the arch on a cathedral radio. I need to know the mills, single or double ply and method for attaching it to the substraight(plywood). Thanks

Marty,

Check this link: http://www.rockler.com/product.cfm?page=2216

I wouldn't use oak as it is very stiff (grain), maybe birch. I attach my veneer with contact cement and roll it down with a "J" pressure roller I got at Home Depot.

The arch will be a challenge since the curvature will want to make the veneer spring back. Maybe cut one piece, attach one side and let it set 24 hours, then apply more cement to each surface and work the veneer over the top of the arch, let it dry, down the other side, etc.

You picked a difficult project. Good luck.

Check back here for other posts. I am sure there will be other suggestions.
