Pilot light in 6v auto radio

Where does the loose wire go? It fell off when I pulled one side of the chassis a bit more than I should have. I can see no point where it connected. Positive ground thru the chassis so the negative must go to pins 3 or 4 of the 6 Volt tubes. Would this line go to pin 3 or 4 of the 6X4?

1951 Nash NH1C positive ground. Uses 6X4, 6AS5, 6AV6, 6BA6, and 6BE6. Thanks

Del: I can't help on the lamp.

But, I'm wondering - do you have the Nash that goes with that radio?

Hi Del,
Dial light wire goes to the filament line, either pin 3 or 4, whichever is not grounded. If I remember right, it ties to the 6BE6 socket. A word of caution when removing the cover with the speaker in it--If the dial light socket connector accidentally contacts the chassis while the cover is off with power on, the 6 volt filament voltage will be routed through the speaker voice coil, possibly burning it out (one side of voice coil is tied to the cover). The physical layout of the dial light socket in the cover makes this very easy to do while separating the cover from the radio.

The 12 volt Nash Metropolitan (PYE made in England) is quite similar to the Nash radio.

Thanks for the answer to my question. Best wishes to all. The 6 BE 6 is closest to the wire.

The dial light wire was attached to pin 4 Non ground side of the 6BE6. Now it works fine and thanks for the help. Best wishes to all.
