That will work. A #30 and 1H4 are electrically the same, different basing. Same with a 19 and 1J6.
I made a radio using a 1U5 when the Cub Scout book called out a 1S5. They looked the same inside. Had to visual basing changes. At the time never had a tube manual. Was probably 10? The radio worked.

:May I put in my 2 cents worth here. Not having exact tube called for in radio, wired adapter sockets to use what tubes I had on hand. Used 1H4 if I remenber right for #30, also used a substitue for #19 I think it was. Got info on how to substitute from RCA Tube manual

Could have used a 36 or 39 in place of 15 if you use a power supply instead of batteries. Takes a little filament rewiring but works. 15 tubes sometimes go for more than a radio.

:The radio I wired tube bases to use different tube was a Philco 38 catheral. Got it to playing but sometimes played and not. Think I need a #15 tube about wore tube manual out looking for something I could subsitute for 15. Had it up for sale, thought would get plenty of buyers, but strange ZERO.
