Zenith "Flash A Call" Inter Communication System

I would like to know more about this radio. It is dated 1/23/42 and I think the model # reads 620 (it is rather worn). It seems to be a predecessor to today's police scanner but I'm not for sure. Any info you could give would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

The "Flash-a-Call" were just intercoms.

At that point in time, aviation and police were assigned approximately 1550khz to 2250khz in 2 seperate blocks of frequencies. (this is approximate, my notes on this are in a file cabinet somewhere.)

"Monitoradio" was the radio that was a precursor to today's polic scanners.

Those intercoms make good extension speakers, or other models with amplifiers, good low level amplified speakers.
