1949 Chevrolet radio 986067

I am trying figure out the wires that lead into this radio. It is negative ground but has 2 separate wires leading into the side of the set. One wire is definitely fused as there is a fuse link in the wire. The other wire goes in the same hole and it is not fused.
These wires go spark plates as shown in the schematic that I have. Do both of these wires connect to the positive 6 volt supply? Thanks.

As a guess, let's try power and dial light. Sometimes the dial lights were wired to a rheostat for dimming.

Yes, one is fused power and one is un fused dial light on the schematic. That would mean both are hooked to the 6 volt positive, correct?
The chassis will be negative. Thanks

I found a 1950 schematic, get the model number and you just might find youar radio.

Chevrolet is usually negative ground. The pilot lamp goes to the instrument panel lighting terminal on the headlight switch. The radio's fused power wire goes to the ignition switch or to the optional fuse terminal panel. You can choose either the switched or unswitched side. Since Chevrolets prior to 1953 didn't have an accessory position on the ignition switch, it'd be best to connect the radio to the unswitched portion of the terminal panel. You don't want to turn on the ignition coil without the engine running, or else it'll burn out. However, with the engine off, it's best not to run the radio too long, either, since it'll drain the battery well. ....But one cool night I did accidently bump the on button on my car radio on my way out of the car. I came back to the car in the morning with the radio blaring and the smell of warm tubes. The car started easily, but the generator was charging the battery all day.

The capacitors are all in and the radio is operating. Dad will be very happy and so am I. Thanks for the tip on the extra wire going to the lamp. Best wishes to all.
