Hi,
Does your recorder have a 5 pin "DIN" plug? If so, you can find these to convert to RCA (phono plugs).

If you currently have this, you can safely plug your leads in to the amp through "tape monitor" (be sure to press the button to switch this as an active input), or "auxillary input", or "Line input" one at a time to determine your output of the deck, as well as your tape inputs to plug into your "line out" (on the deck) connections. Your "line in" connections will not produce an output when plugged into an input. SInce you are working with "tape monitor", or "line in" on the amp, you are not going to damage anything.

Otherwise, look in the manual to see what is labelled "Ertrag"- output. "Eingebe" or "Eingeben" is input.
Left should be "linkshandig" (I am missing umlauts, and may have the conjugation wrong)
Right should be "Rechtshandig" (also missing umlauts)

Hi, i have a Manual for a Uher Variocord 263, but the connectors are nearly the same ones as the royal connectors. It is easy to connect a German Din-Pin to a Cinch Pin. If you want to, i scan the Pictures, translate them into english, and send them via Email.

Best regards from Germany

Carsten

Hi João,
Try German Wumpus Radio at http://www.oldradios.de/ You can get a free German to English dictionary of radio terms there that might help you understand the labels on your tape recorder. They might also have the manual for sale too. Make sure it's in English or you'll have to get it translated. Altavista search engine site has a German to English translator you can use online. It's not perfect but uaually can help you understand the German meaning. Hope this helps, Don Black.
