Am trying to replace the caps in the black cardboard can on top of chassis,not that good at reading schematics,could anyone tell me which lugs caps go to and what is the negative.

Clay: the schematic is a jpg, and too small to read - http://www.transoceanic.nostalgiaair.org/h500/zenh500sb.jpg Best to save the image to an image-type program, such as PhotoShop, etc., and enlarge it. Or, you can try printing it out.

But anyway, the schematic shows symbols associated with the four individual caps' positive terminals: half moon, diamond, square, and one unmarked. You should find these same symbols printed on the can itself.

All four caps in the can have a common negative terminal. See the schematic.

Don't parallel replacement caps with the old ones. You have to electrically disonnect the old caps from the circuit, at least each of the positive leads. Individual replacement caps can be hung under the chassis, leaving the can there for ornamentation.
