There is a website dedicated to the restoration of the CT-100 that you will probably find interesting and probably helpful. http://home.att.net/~pldexnis/
Good luck.

: Hello and thank you for reading this message.
: Would anyone have experience in replacing the picture tube ( 15GP22 kinescope) in a 1954 RCA CT-100 color television? I have one and was fortunate enough to acquire a nre picture tube for it. the old one needs replacement.
: It appears to be a massive job so any advice will be appreciated.I do have both the SAMS Fotofact and the RCA service manual for it.
: Thanks in advance to anyone who can give me any advice.

The above book is especially good if you never set an "Ion Trap". If it is not done right, you can burn the phosphor.
