Vibrator # 0-19A28-C-10-38

Can anyone identify this vibrator? It has no manufacturer name, just that number on it. It seems to work on 6 and 12 volts but the coil gets a bit warm on 12 so would like to know what its intended DC voltage is. Thanks - Joe

Hi Joe,
19A28 crosses to Mallory 4546 or Radiart 5411, a 6 volt, 6 pin synchronous vibrator. Freq. is 115 cycles, max. current is 4 amps. This was a very popular vibrator used in many, many auto and house radios from 1936 on according to the Radiart catalog.
