Conecentric knobs for Andy Rolfe

I finally got my Philco 38-4 Conecentric knobs loose for Andy - your offer including your leftover 2 Zenith T.O. suction cups is fine. Those eager RCMP border gaurds must have gone "ethereal" and intercepted all our e-mails - I think I only connected with you successfully once by e-mail, and I finally stopped trying. The delay was mostly from being sent out of town on work several times lately - also because I had trouble making the knob-shaft screw break free with repeated penetrating oil treatments. I am scrapping the chassis for salvage - so let me know before I mail whether you have a need for any other parts. REMIND ME - the one e-mail I got mentions shaft parts - do you need the knob-spring? The whole shaft? (I ended up taking the shaft and shaft housing completely off the radio before finally getting that knob-screw loose from the shaft, for fear of damaging the screw.)

Andy - I found the old post. You mentioned you want the spring behind the knobs, AND the brass insert for the outer knob - do you mean the screw, whole shaft, etc?

I believe the Conecentric parts on my 38-4 HAVE to be the same as on the 38-7.

They're sending me out of town for another week starting Sunday - so communication may be slow.

Eddie; Unfortunately I sold the console about 6 weeks ago to an interested buyer and my suction cups were used on another Trans-oceanic. I still don't know what happened to our e-mails to each other.

Eddie - I'd like the volume control out of that 38-4. I have a variety of trading stock - let me know what you need. Thanks.
Doug

Eddie:

If the tuning knobs and spring aren't needed by Andy anymore I'd be interested in knowing what you'd like for them. I have a set that can use them. Send me an email if interested. Thanks!
