You’re definitely not being ignored…just an uncertainty by virtue of the model number that you provided for that particular set of yours, not being readily / concrete referenced.

Refer to the resources portion of this site and hit on a couple of close numbers to see if that chassis tube utilization and circuit design is close enough…or being the same…. as your set.

Check out this data, initially as it is just above your number, while the lower number turns out to be a DC / vibrator powered set .

:Hi Edd, That is the model# and I have tried to find the information and it seems to be somewhat of a mystery. I will try to get some pics up. I have already started working on the chassis.Could you let me know how to put up pictures on the site.

:
:It is definitely a B-10557, clear as day on the inside paper label. The tube compliment is as follows:
5S07, 6SK7, 6SA7, 6SJ7, 6Sf5, 6K6, 6K6, 5Y3 rectifier.
I used 2 #47 dial lamps, and is a 2 band radio AM broadcast and shortwave.

Yeaaaa......., finally, the tube lineup.....

6SQ7 …….1st Audio- Detector-AVC

6SK7…….. I.F. Amp

6SA7……...Mixer

6SJ7……....Local Oscillator

6SF5………Phase Inverter

6K6………..A.F. Output

6K6………. A.F. Output

5Y3………...Power rect

Well, I must say that “5S07” that you threw in, made one think that you had been rummaging around in an old TV for your
tube stock.

BUT ..... if you then clarify that as to being the missing piece of the lineup…it would be a 6SQ7… now, we come up with a valid full tube lineup.

If we then plug that info into researching….. What do we get ?…..possibly not a Knight, but instead, none other than his good buddy and compatriot, a Sentinel.

Check out the Sentinel 221 set and see if that chassis is close enough to work with….if not even being THE unit ?

(Of course, your unit…not being resplendently complete with the optional eye tube, as that is a $69.95 extra …beeeeg bux !)

I see that I left this off the "tail" of the last post , but until you came up and finally offered that sets tube lineup, possibly the best aging that we could probably have come up with, was that the unit was definitely within the post Neaderthal---pre--- Cro-magnon time era..........tic...bag.........lol.

That sets tube lineup reeks as of being right at the 1940's median time line.
I didn't see any canned filters sticking up, on topside of the chassis, unless mounted underchassis horizontally, but, if utilized , they.... and the sets potentiometers...... provide a good Rosetta stone of its vintage.

Refer to the periphery / or ends of the pots and around the canned capacitors seeking a manufacturers EIA code/ date or date/EIA code , and with fresh stock being utilized, typically you should then be within ~ a year of the sets vintage on that OEM part info.

Visual Referencing with a pot:...WHO ? WHEN ?

:EDD, I found the date and it is November of 1938.
Also I have pics of the completed chassis and it plays like a new radio. http://s292.photobucket.com/albums/mm33/rogeld/

“Qwerstion”…..no..make that TWO “qwerstions”…on my TWO adjunct posts, just before your last ones, did you confirm that sets age via the code dates on parts and did you not refer to the Sentinel 221 chassis schematic that I hot link referred you to, as that / your “Knight” set must have come out of the same birth canal!

As per your dial restringing, see if this will work for you as I can see from your photos that the tuning condenser meshes closed with CW rotation, and the restring merely seems to be simple drum to linear dial pointer rigging. Don’t have time at this instant to clean up the graphics, but I did give you a “RED” alphabetical cord routing sequence Starting at (A) and then finishing with a final spring tensioning and multiple turn tie down ( but, don't knot off just yet) at (P) on the same tensioning springs eyelet, after a test 180 degree rotation of the tuning condenser.
