Hi Just wondering if you could assist....collected a chassis in a home made cabinet. Have had 2 differing opinions of this Australian Radio. Dome Shaped.
1. Precedent
2. Howard
The chassis had 2 small speakers above the chassis. The ARTS&P was A (1932) 5 Valve Dial was half circle numbered 0 - 100.
Really difficult to find answers. Hope you can help.
Pam.

Pam: you might be able to find some info from Greg Cooney at greg@oldradios.co.nz. You can visit his website at www.oldradios.co.nz. Maybe he can help if you send him a picture of your Howard.

Pam,
I live in Australia and I have 2 Howard chassis which I too am having difficulty identifying. Apparently Howard never produced a circuit for their radios but if I find out anything I will keep you posted. Don't have my valve line-up at the moment, can you post yours ? Who knows they may be the same. How are you getting on with their 240 volt input ?
Regards,
Rudy

Hi Rudy
The Valve line up is 58 57 ? 2A5 80. I can send you a pic of the chassis, which I have sent to Rodney Champness from silicon chip, but still awaiting a reply. Regarding the 240 volt input I have no idea, this is my husbands hobby, I am only the investigator/assistant. He is a member of the HRSA. We are from Melbourne.

You poor thing, I'm from Brisbane, the sunshine state. On a serious note I guess you can't do any better than Rodney. Has your "boss' tried the HRSA circuit diagram search ? All my findings so far suggest that I have to draw out the circuit manually. The valve line up is pretty common for that era.
Have you tried Don Black, he's the librarian of HRSA ?

Rudy ( HRSA 2140 )

PS How did he get you to do all the research, love to know , like to try it on with my wife. ( Fat chance ) For our US friends ( no chance )
