Does anyone know of a web site where I could pick up some name labels of radios such as philco to put back on a radio I have refinished?

Thomas:

Try this web site:
http://www.radiodaze.com/catalog-306-page76-78.pdf

Radio Daze has original look water slide decals for major brands such as Philco, GE, Zenith, Emerson, etc. as well as lots of stuff for radio restoration. Great catalog to peruse.

Regards,

Allan

Antique electronic supply has some also. They had an additional Philco decal sheet I needed for a radio that Radio Daze didn't carry. Between the two you should be able to find what you need.

Thomas,
Here is something I do, if I can get a copy from a picture. A lot of my Philco labels were printed on something like fake foil. I make a 1 to 1 decal with all the text, borders etc, then tint the background to make it looked aged, then apply it to foil, which is then glued to the chassis.
