Hi Larry,
Before replacing the open Aerial transformer examine it carefully to see if it can be repaired. These RF transformers often go open where the winding wire is connected to the terminals, likely to be caused by corrosion from the solder flux, etc. It is often obvious as a green spot of verdigris at the break. If neccesary you may be able to use a short piece of wire soldered onto the winding to extend to the terminal or else unwind a turn or two to get to the break. At the broadcast frequencies the coils have a large number of turns and can function OK with a couple missing.
God luck, Don.
If it is the primary winding that is open, you can just wind a bunch
of new turns and it will probably work OK. You may be able to unwind the
the open winding and get a guess at the approximate number of turns.
On the primary it isn't all that critical. I have done this a number
of times, making a wild guess at the number of turns and have had
good success. The secondary which is usually part of the input tuning
the number of turns is more critical.
: : can I get these anywhere on the net????
: : The drawings I have does not tell the turns ratio ofr give any details about this x-former,,,,,
: : Any sugesstions??????
: : thanks

Just took a look at the schematic and did not realize that this set has
a couple of sw band also. Makes things a bit more complicated. Have you
checked to see which winding is open? I would venture that probably only
one is open. You still should be able to wind some turns and make it work.
