leaky caps sometimes bad tubes but if you have recapped the set try detuning one of your if trimmers and see what that does.just turn a trimmer screw 1/8 of a turn or so.butch

That did it. got rid of the motorboating I mean. I used the k trimmer. I have about 120' of wire strung out an up on top of the house. Maybe too much?
