A 5U4G and 5Z3 are electrically the same. Only bases are different.
Should be able to soak a 5U4G in thinner overnight to soften glue holding the base. Use a 4 pin base from a dud tube and attach it to the 5U4G glass.
You can build an adapter but this adds height. Replacing the base doesn't require buying anything and will look like an original 5Z3.
