:What is the availability and price for the above tube ? I need one to complete a project but so far (even 47 ) none available in Australia. Love to hear from you.

Might contact Don Black or Ron Pond in Australia. They might know where you can get a 47 in Australia. Most US companies charge too much to send overseas.
If you don't find someone with a 47 in Australia send an email.

I actually bought a 47 from AVRS ( Australian Vintage Radio Society ) an off-shoot of HRSA ( they didn't have one ) but regretfully it was crook (faulty). Since my posting, I was sorting out some parts over the weekend and lo & behold I found 2 x 247 in one of my boxes. Haven't tested them yet but I'm sure that one of them will work.
Thanks for your input.
Cheers

I say, Rudy, here in the States, we have a restaurant chain called the Outback, based on Aussie cooking. I am sorry to say the wife and I ate at one Saturday night. The food (and a few drinks)were so good, I didn't think of you a single second all night. Very sorry about that.
Lewis
Lewis,
Got to say , no, I better not, before I find out what your Aussie Cuisene was.
Bit disappointed though, here I was thinking to myself that Lewis of all people will come through with the elusive 247, but what was he doing, feeding his face. Can't wait to see wait you ate.
The wife has been crook for a while (pinched sciatic nerve) so I'm the cook at the moment, tonight's menu was, Chicken-vegies-chips. Didn't taste too bad.
