When I finish making the file in pdf format, I will offer it for free distribution to websites such as Nostalgia Air, BAMA etc. and to any one requesting it from me. I have been in e-mail contact with Alan Douglas about my project, and I believe he will vouch for me.
I am looking for:
- digital pictures / close-ups of your tester's topside (and underside if it's not too much trouble). Please include serial number and any date codes. The reason for this is that I need to distinguish between the variations of the 3423 and how the calibration process relates to each.
- Issue code of the roll chart in your 3423.
- descriptions of problems you've had, and if and how you were able to fix the tester.
- Any paperwork (scanned, photo-copied, originals) from Triplett -- such as users manuals, schematics, sales literature, etc.
- Number of 3423 units produced. Engineering changes...
- Modifications you may have done on your 3423 and explanations.
I will give contributor credit to anyone who sends me anything about the 3423. If you want to send something to me by postal mail, I'll re-imburse your mailing and copying costs, please e-mail me first.
If at any point I can't finish this project, I will give all that I have to someone else to complete, that person being chosen by the moderator / owner of Nostalgia Air.
Thanks in advance !

Just a comment.. Tube testers are one of Rich's (nostalgiaair) favoite projects. Rich wanted to build the ultimate tube tester.

:I am putting together a document of any and all info about the Triplett 3423 Mutual Conductance tube tester. I would like to make it fairly comprehensive. It would include transcribed versions of the users manuals, calibration for each version, parts lists, schematics, and plenty of photos and diagrams for clarity. Presently, I am working on transcribing and refining their engineering dept's year 1953 extensive but cryptic calibration procedure ( I got that and more from the company's service dept about 10 years ago, but I finally just got around to doing something with it ).
