Simplex model R oscilates...serial above 175001

Hello I recapped the whole radio. It seems to work well, but on the high end of the dial, it can oscillate when the volume is turned up most of the way. (the local strong station is 1480 whbc)..So Im wondering what can I do?

:The 57 tube has a shield that is held by the chassis. It slides over a shield holder riveted to the chassis. The 58 tube doesnt have a shield holder or shield.

sean, Hi. Make sure shield is in fact grounding to chassis also is grid lead inside or outside shield?PL

:Actually the grid cap wires are outside the the shield. The 57 tube only has a cylinder shield that only covers most of the tube. Both of the grid caps have a spring that is over the wire most of the way of it

:I just tried again to find tube shields on ebay. Would you believe I found nothing???
