Dave, generally the price ain't right. Working or not. Like new or not. Too heavy. Most aren't worth anything. First off someone wants a few bucks for one. Hold off and they are willing to give it up for free. Hold off a little longer and they are willing to pay you a few bucks to haul off. You have to have a helper just to get them out of one's house. Value "may" be in parting out, depends on type speakers and record changer. Sounds like you may have one from late 60's up into early 70's. If still interested you can take off the back and look for small paper labels or stamped with something like R221---and this may help determine more information about it. Also, there's a Yahoo Magnavox Group you can look up tho these folks seem more interested in older Magnavox tube amplifiers. Look up PhonoLand, you might unload it for a few bucks if you match into someone in your area. Now these folks love these sets.

:I'm curious of the value of a like new conditioned magnavox astro sonic stero high fidelity counsel with am/fm and turntable comes with oril manual and extra needle and a few other extra sm electronic parts. I can email pics of this beauty. It looks brand new. This is solid and weighs a few hundred lbs easy. I'm am curious what it may be worth . it even comes with the odd stero remote that I'm not sure how its supposed to work but has a couple buttons on it.
