TRANS OCEANIC 8G005 ANTENNA MAST
1/14/2008 12:52:37 PMMark
Hi again!

Pardon all the Trans-Oceanic questions. I just purchased my first set, a H500 and I'm in the process of restoring it.

I need to replace the H500 antenna. The clip is missing.
Will a 8G005 antenna work on this set?

Thanks!
Mark

Mark,

You may check here:

http://www.radioera.com/zenithparts.asp

They have some parts for sale from parted out TOs. You can ask them a question and see if the part you need may be available.

Hi Radiodoc!

I located a G8005 antenna. I was wondering if you can use it on a H500. My H500 antenna is missing the metal clip.

The 8G005 antenna I'm looking at has the clip.

Mark,
If the top knob and spring still operate correctly, and the slot from the old metal strip is still intact, a new clip can be made out of a strip of aluminum cut from an aluminum sheet. I made one recently and it works great.

I hope that this helps,

Dave
