9/25/2000 7:08:40 PMNick
I would like any information on a speaker I recently purchased. It is a single speaker in a wooden cabinet about 12" tall. The name plate on the back is Peerless Reproducer, United Radio Corporation, Rochester, NY. Any information on age, use, value etc.
Thanks,
Nick

Hi Nick

The Peerless speakers are high impedance and can be used with battery radios made in the 1920's, also early AC radios which require high impedance speakers.

I seen these speakers sell at all kinds of prices but $50 may be reasonable for a working Peerless.

I know of the speaker that you are talking about. I bought ton at the local junk shop for 5 dollars. According to the inspection date it was made on November 6, 1926.As for its value I have no idea.
