Something strange is happening with this radio and my limited knowledge can’t figure it out. I’m not receiving any voltage across the filaments, and no B plus....however, the pilot light do come on and I can see why from the schematic. While tracing the filament string I discovered that pin no. 2 of 25L6 was fed to pin no. 6 of 6SF7 and not pin 7 or 8. In my opinion this is factory wiring and soldering. I then attached a wire to pin 2 of 25L6 and connected it to pin 8 of 6SF7........When I powered up I received voltage across all of the tube filaments.....However, no B voltage......Why would pin 6 of 6SF7 be used as a filament connection instead of pin 7 or 8???? I’m puzzled

Sounds like someone messed with the wiring. I can't think of why you'd connect the filament of the 25L6 to the plate of the 6SF7.

Compare your radio to its schematic, and go by the schematic when it seems more sensible (in most cases it is right).

Thomas and Lewis......O.k. so it seems that someone did do an excellwnt job of soldering and probably to accomodate a new tube as you say. Therefore I guess I had better look for some rewiring that could be the cause of not getting any B plus voltage....Thanks guys.
