I see that steel needles are availalble from AES, for those phonograph cartridges with a set screw. I realize they are steel, but would they work for occasional use in a radio phonograph?

Steel needles are used in old, usually wind up, phonographs. More modern phonographs use crystal cartridges with different type of needles.

Brian, dont use that needle on 33's or 45's as it will cut them. Those needles are for the old "shallac" records, 78's. PL
