Zenith radio model 33X

I am restoring a model 33x which has a "condenser block" number 22-40. It is a dubilier type PL-963 with a drawing number 4299. I don't see any values on the schematic and was wondering if anyone knew what they are.
Thanks

Hi Bob

This is an early power supply. Cap values would have been 1 or 2 mf, paper type. I would use 10 mf @ 450 volt electrolytic caps for each. Positive leads toward the filters, up in the schematic.

Thank you for the response. The 10s were my guess too. I do have a 1932 dubilier catalog which shows a four section 8-18uF but not the five section one like I have. Since this one has no value markings on the schematic, I assumed they would all be the same. Just wanted another opinion from someone more experienced with these old radios.

So you think the old "crumbling" rubber wire was original? The soldering all looks original. I have to replace it all.

Bob

Crumbling wire is original. Rubber coated wire was used in the 1930's. Most of it has become brittle with insulation falling off.
