This is an early power supply. Cap values would have been 1 or 2 mf, paper type. I would use 10 mf @ 450 volt electrolytic caps for each. Positive leads toward the filters, up in the schematic.

:I am restoring a model 33x which has a "condenser block" number 22-40. It is a dubilier type PL-963 with a drawing number 4299. I don't see any values on the schematic and was wondering if anyone knew what they are.
:Thanks
So you think the old "crumbling" rubber wire was original? The soldering all looks original. I have to replace it all.

Crumbling wire is original. Rubber coated wire was used in the 1930's. Most of it has become brittle with insulation falling off.

:Thank you for the response. The 10s were my guess too. I do have a 1932 dubilier catalog which shows a four section 8-18uF but not the five section one like I have. Since this one has no value markings on the schematic, I assumed they would all be the same. Just wanted another opinion from someone more experienced with these old radios.
