Source for Can Type Electrolytics
9/20/2000 3:22:32 PMBill Wollam
Does anyone have a good source for the old can type
electrolytics that were used in the older tube type
electronic equipment. These were often multiple segment
and ranged from 200v. to 600v. and from 20 to 100 mfd.
Any ideas would be appreciated.

Hi Bill

AES, tubesandmore.com , has some.. Don't use any electrolytics made more than 20 or 30 years ago. They dry up over time and cause hum or even short.

You can buy individual units for each section.. Be sure to disconnect the original when replacing these filters.
