A strange version of the Radiola 18?
9/13/1998 2:34:12 AMWarren Parks
I have an RCA Radiola 18, model# AR-936 radio that doesn't seem to match any of the Radiola 18 schematics posted on this site. It is an AC version with the socket power supply unit, but it has 11 terminals instead of 9. It also features ceramic variable filament resistors, and a built in audio output transformer. The speaker jacks are on the receiver rather than the power unit. Other than these features, both chassis look just like the standard models. Any information on where to get schematics or service information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time!

I wonder if somewhere down the line your set has received a Radiola 17 chassis, either in manufacturing or if it was intentionally swapped later. I have a 17 and it sounds like you are describing a 17 chassis ... 11 power terminals, output transformer for audio, and speaker output jacks on bottom right of tuner chassis as viewed from rear. My 17 has 3 pots on power chassis that are used to reduce filament hum.

I also have a Radiola 17 that matches the description given by Gordo. Can anyone tell me the circuit hook ups in the two choke and capacitor cans?
