The electrolytic Can Cap C-1, 16 mf Under the chassis I see it has one wire that goes to the rectifier and another wire coming from the same positive lug of the can cap that is only a loop of wire that connects back to the can nut (ground ?) that holds the can to the chassis Looks original to me but I want to double check with someone who knows for sure befpre I go any further.
Thanks, Bob

Where do these gremlins who come in and steal letters
and and spaces, periods, and messes with spelling just between the time you click Submit Follow Up and when It appears again?

Hi Bob

Positive of C1 (16 mf) also goes to the speaker field coil. Positive is up in the schematic, negative down. You can replace this cap with 22 mf @ 450 volts.

Negative connects to center tap of the high voltage winding on your power transformer, not chassis.

Thanks Norm,
I am still not real good at comparing what is happening
under the chassis with what I see on the schematic but
after your post I traced the wiring and see how that
works in this instance.
