i have recently aquired a very good condition S40B, and it has shorted a tube causing some resister damage. i need a schematic to establish the value of the resisters. i am resonably sure i can find new tubes as we have a hardware store that has over a thousand new (old stock) tubes left over from days when they were in the tv & radio repair business in the 50's & 60"s...any help would be appreciated.
p.s. before this unit "shorted" the tube, it worked like no other radio i have owned...the reception with an antenna is next to unbelievable!!!

Hi Johm

If the shorted tube is 5Y3 the problem may be bad filter caps.. I have sent you the schematic from Rider Vol #22. Hope it's readable.
