New kid on the block
12/5/2007 7:35:49 PMJames M. Wiggins
I'm new to all of this. I was wondering if any one can help me get started on my "new" zenith 5-S-250?
I have hit the somputer for days and only found what I think is the scematic for it. I'm just loking for parts, manuals or a little basic knowledge. I'm not worried about the work.I'm sure I can handle it.
Any tips would help alot.
Thanks,
Jimmy

James,

If you are not sure of your schematic here is the one from this site at:

http://www.nostalgiaair.org/PagesByModel/005/M0025005.pdf

You will have to have Adobe reader to view and print it.

Thanks, it doesn't look much like the layout I have but I guess it's got to be. How do you go about removal and cleaning? I mean is it real fragile? :James,

Well, James, I am retired from Delta, as in airline. One day, while I was off on an errand in some part of our giant maintenance facility in Atlanta, I came across a sign on a lead mechanic's desk which said: "I had rather answer your stupid question than explain your stupid screw-up". That is the way I feel about you "newbies", there are a bunch of us "oldies" that would rather stop you from doing something wrong than explain how to fix it after you screw it up. Yes, some of it is *very* delicate, but there are many tricks of the trade on this forum, and the discoverers are glad to share them with you. So, at first, ask if it is OK to do something, and you will build knowlege, experience, and confidence. Promise you!
