Does anyone have one of these audio interstage transformers or a junker 143,242 or 243 chassis for sale??

Thanks in advance.

Might try a modern replacement? AES, www.tubesandmore.com and Radio Daze, www.radiodaze.com but sell audio interstage transformers.

Originals are often open. Even if you find an original may still have this problem. If you want to try check here..

Michael,
I had a similar problem with an old Edison. Original canned transformer was replaced with an open frame type, that had also failed. Purchased a modern replacement, made a can to mount on the chassis like the original. The chassis and all cans were painted a dark Moss Green like the original, so the new transformer/can looks factory fresh.

I have what I believe are the specs of the original--how do I identify the proper replacement??

Thanks in advance

Michael,
Compare the orig specs you have, with available transformers at AES (www.tubesandmore.com) Mine was a split secondary from AES. The impedance values and configuration for both the primary and secondary are most important, but don't confuse these numbers with actual DC resistance measured with a DMM/VOM. Many schematics will show the DC resistance of individual windings, but is primarily for troubleshooting. The impedance numbers may be difficult to find, unless you use an old transformer catalog (Stancor, Triad, Thoradson, Chicago), with reference to the RCA p/n.
